Health, Hospital & Medicine Care for Our Senior Monks
Segyu Medical is the monastery’s own healthcare initiative, dedicated to the health and wellbeing of our senior monks — providing medical treatment, hospitalisation, and medicine for the elders who have devoted their entire lives to preserving the rare Segyu tantric lineage.
Our Medical Team
Segyu Medical is served by a team of qualified medical doctors who generously volunteer their time and expertise, together with integrative-medicine volunteers — all organised by the Segyu Gaden Buddhist Society. Together they care for our senior monks with skill, dedication, and heartfelt compassion.
Who We Care For
Our senior monks have given their whole lives to study, retreat, ritual, and prayer. In their later years many now live with the illnesses of age, requiring ongoing medicine, regular check-ups, and at times hospital care that is costly and difficult to access in Nepal.
